Kwame proudly joined the Women’s March on January 20, 2018 to show his commitment to support issues concerning women. Throughout his legislative career he has emphasizes the importance of protecting women from domestic violence and sexual assault and harassment. He’s supported legislation that promotes equal opportunity for women in all aspects of life from the Equal Rights Amendment that extends equality to women and men in the workplace.
As a leader in the Senate, Kwame has supported legislation to ensure more investments in female owned businesses and require accommodations for pregnant workers.
